Norfolk, VA (March 24th, 2025) – VBCITYFC Academy is set to host another USL Academy U20 tryout on Saturday, April 5th, giving young athletes a chance to showcase their talent and compete at a high level. This tryout is a key opportunity for players aiming to develop within the United Soccer League (USL) Academy system, which bridges the gap between youth and professional soccer.
What is the USL Academy?
The USL Academy is designed to provide a clear development pathway for aspiring players, offering top-tier competition and exposure to professional clubs within the USL Championship, USL League One, and USL League Two. The program allows young athletes to train and compete at an elite level while maintaining their eligibility for college and professional opportunities.
By joining the USL Academy U20 squad, players can gain invaluable experience, improve their skills, and get scouted for higher levels of play.
