Norfolk, VA ( March 17th, 2025) – Virginia Atlantic FC is making history. The club has officially announced its first-ever tryout for the inaugural USL W League season, giving players the opportunity to compete at the highest level of pre-professional women’s soccer.
Set for Saturday, March 29, at 9:00 AM, the tryout will take place at Norfolk Collegiate, as the club looks to build a roster of talented local players who can showcase the strength of women’s soccer in the region.
“The amount of excitement that we have received from the surrounding community has been breathtaking,” said Virginia Atlantic FC Director Ethan Taylor. “Our staff wants to compete at the highest level while using players that represent the region and prove how strong women’s soccer is in Hampton Roads. Our goal is to promote players to the professional level by providing the best possible experience and platform for our players to succeed.”
With the USLW League rapidly growing as a key developmental league for women’s soccer in the U.S., Virginia Atlantic FC is committed to creating a team that not only competes but also serves as a launchpad for players aiming to reach the professional ranks.
