Buckeystown, MD (April 10th, 2025) – Aspiring youth soccer players in Maryland will have a major opportunity to prove themselves this month as official MLS NEXT tryouts are scheduled across two locations: Oakdale High School and Washington High School.
MLS NEXT is Major League Soccer’s premier youth development platform, created to identify and develop the next generation of elite American soccer players. It brings together the top talent in the country under a highly competitive and professional training environment. Players who participate in MLS NEXT have direct pathways to collegiate programs, U.S. Youth National Teams, and professional academies, including MLS clubs.
Tryouts begin Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Oakdale High School in Ijamsville, MD. The schedule is broken up by age group as follows:
• 5:00–6:30 PM: U13 & U16
• 6:30–8:00 PM: U14 & U17
• 8:00–9:30 PM: U15 & U19

A second session of tryouts will take place on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Washington High School Turf. That schedule includes:
• 6:00–7:30 PM: Boys born 2014–2012
• 7:30–9:00 PM: Boys born 2011–2007
Players should arrive early, come prepared with cleats, shin guards, water, and the mindset to compete at a high level.
