West Virginia Soccer offers the Winter Futsal Academy for boys and girls ages U8 to U19 during the months of December and January. Futsal is a form of indoor soccer that is typically played on a hard surface using a slightly weighted soccer ball. This helps players develop speed of play and sharpens each players technical ability. Futsal offers a great opportunity for players of all skill levels to improve their game indoors during the winter months and compliments West Virginia Soccer Academy programing. 

The West Virginia Soccer Winter Academy programing is offered during December and January totaling 8 weeks of training sessions and games. A Typical session will consist of 15 to 20 minutes of technical training followed by small sided or full sided Futsal games.

Futsal Training Fees: $110 including 8 weeks of training sessions and games. Games Typically will be played on Sunday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Game times and schedules developed by age group and skill level and will be distributed up to two weeks prior to the start of the program.

Players that participate in the Winter Futsal Academy use their Academy Game and Training uniforms. 

Players that are new to the club can order their uniforms through Soccer.com.

The uniform kit includes:
– Two numbered game jerseys
– One pair of shorts
– Two pair of socks Uniforms run on a two year cycle and are not included in the program fees.

Returning players may wear the same kit from the previous fall or spring season within the same two year cycle.  New players will receive an email after tryouts conclude and the player is assigned to a team with instructions once all players have picked (or assigned) their numbers and Soccer.com is ready to accept orders.
