Norfolk, VA (December 17th, 2024) – The U19 Thunder showcased exceptional skill and determination over the weekend, claiming three consecutive wins at the Baltimore Showcase tournament. The team opened with a thrilling 4-2 victory against FC Frederick, followed by a dominant 4-0 shutout against FC Charles. They capped off the weekend with another clean sheet, defeating Severna Park 3-0.
Coach Riley praised the team’s performance, saying, “FCSC Thunder showcased incredible talent and teamwork at the Baltimore College Showcase this past weekend, defeating three higher-ranked teams and winning every match. This tournament was not only a celebration of their hard work and progress but also a testament to the potential this team holds for the spring season. After a tough fall competing with their varsity high school teams, it was inspiring to bring the boys back together, integrate new players, and see them shine. Their dedication and training truly paid off—what a way to cap off the year!”
