Norfolk, VA (April 27th, 2025) – Virginia Atlantic FC is excited to announce the addition of Sophie Macalpine to the roster ahead of the 2025 USLW season.
Originally from Australia, Macalpine brings international experience and a strong defensive presence to the newly formed squad. She currently attends Wingate University, where she plays collegiate soccer and continues to sharpen her skills on the back line.
As a defender, Macalpine is known for her composure, smart positioning, and ability to shut down opposing attacks. Her passion for the game makes her a valuable addition to the team as it prepares for its debut season in the USLW.
