Wilmington, NC (April 2nd, 2025) – Port City FC is excited to launch its Summer Academy, providing young athletes with a high-level training environment and competitive matches over a four-week program. The academy, held at Legion Stadium, will run from June 3rd through July, with potential extensions based on game schedules.
The program is open to boys and girls from U9 to U18, ensuring opportunities for players of all skill levels. Depending on registration numbers, some players may “play up” in an older age group or have a dedicated team if enough participants are available.
“Our goal is to give players a chance to improve their skills, train in a competitive setting, and experience game action over the summer,” said Brandon Ricker Technical Director.
Academy Details:
• Age Groups: U9-U18 (boys & girls)
• Cost: $395 per player (Uniform kit: $100-$125)
• Games: 2-4 matches over the summer
• Training Schedule: Twice per week (Tuesday-Thursday, 5-8 PM)
• Location: All practices and games at Legion Stadium
• Talent ID Center: April 13th and May 4th 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Coastal Christian High School.
Port City FC’s coaching staff will lead structured training sessions, focusing on skill development, tactical awareness, and overall game performance. Players will have the opportunity to sharpen their abilities and compete against local and regional opponents.
